Burning Blue
Since enlisting in the Navy, movie-star handsome elite aircraft pilots Daniel and William have been the best of friends. But their friendship is tested following two fatal accidents aboard their aircraft carrier. When a government agent is placed aboard the ship, his mission is to determine what may have been at the root of the mishaps and prevent another accident. But his investigation abruptly changes direction when a sailor reports seeing Daniel cavorting with another fighter pilot, the headstrong, muscle-bound Matthew, in a gay club. Set during the period when “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” was in full force, the lives of Daniel, William, Matthew, and those of their squadron mates and spouses quickly becomes the subject of a deadly modern day witch hunt, entangling all in a web of jealousy and deceit. The concept of love, friendship and honor is pushed to a point that changes their lives forever. Based on his own award winning play, writer-director David Greer’s film is a glossily crafted, epic scaled drama that has been labeled a “gay Top Gun with heart and soul.” The film stars actor and model Trent Ford (The Vampire Diaries), Morgan Spector (Boardwalk Empire, Orange Is the New Black), Rob Mayes (The Client List, 90210), William Lee Scott (Pearl Harbor, The Opposite of Sex), and Emmy award-winning actress Tammy Blanchard (for her portrayal of young Judy Garland in Me and My Shadows).
