When the adorable Tanner (Michael J. Willett, United States of Tara) unexpectedly becomes the school’s first openly gay student, nothing will stop the three “it girls” from making him their new bestie. As the race is on to bag Tanner, he must choose between his skyrocketing popularity and the friends he is leaving behind – including the droll, endearing Brent (Paul Iacono, MTV’s The Hard Times of RJ Berger) who is nursing his own secret crush on his former best friend. Darren Stein (Jawbreaker) returns with another comic send-up of high school clique culture that has delighted festival audiences with its enthusiastic, vibrant young cast and hot, candy colored look. The movie features memorable performances by Sasha Pieterse (Pretty Little Liars), Megan Mullally (Will & Grace), Horatio Sanz (SNL), Jonathan Silverman, Rebecca Gayheart, and Natasha Lyonne (Orange is the New Black). Also starring Andrea Bowen (Desperate Housewives), Evanna Lynch (Harry Potter Series) Molly Tarlov (MTV’s Awkward) Xosha Roquemore (Precious) and Joanna “JoJo” Levesque. The screening of this delightfully fizzy concoction will be followed by a reception at the nearby Laugh Factory!
