What made Edith Piaf tick? Love, and beautiful music. Martha Carés and Robert Swan will bring back the era of WWII France through the music of Edith Piaf. Piaf (“the little sparrow”) captured France in the forties and America in the fifties with her compelling renditions of some of the most moving and nostalgic songs ever written. This is a show that sets records where ever it goes. Get your tickets early. Both Martha and Bob are veterans of Broadway and opera houses around the country. Martha was seen on Broadway for three years in Phantom of the Opera, and Bob's career also features appearances in Hoosiers, The Untouchables, All My Children, and Miss Marple—to name a few. All of these songs are familiar friends that will fill the afternoon at the Space with a warm glow. This will be an afternoon you’ll remember for a long time. Tickets $20-$30 available by phone or online.
Location: Space, 245 Chicago Ave., Evanston
