Pride Fest: Xelle
The mega pop girl group XELLE performs Chicago Pride Fest on Sat., June 22. XELLE wants you to know that their name is pronounced "XL," because they love big things: big voices, big personalities and making big smash hits. As the first pop group to consist of two girls and a drag queen, they are a girl group with something extra. Together, JC Cassis, Rony G and Mimi Imfurst are XELLE, but separately, they come from a wide variety of life experiences. XELLE is known for the single "Party Girl." The music video for the song went viral after being praised as "campy deliciousness" and "an effing good time" by Perez Hilton. The 2013 Chicago Pride Fest will take place Sat., June 22 and Sun., June 23, the weekend before the annual Pride Parade, along N. Halsted St. between Addison and Waveland in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood. $8 gate donation benefits the Northalsted Business Alliance.
