11th Annual World of Chocolate

Chocolate lovers are invited to satisfy their sweet tooth and commemorate the upcoming December 1st, World AIDS Day at World of Chocolate, AIDS Foundation of Chicago’s 11th annual winter soiree. At the one-of-a-kind event, guests are invited to indulge on sweet and savory morsels from more than 30 of Chicago’s finest chocolatiers, restaurants and caterers, while raising funds for the fight against HIV/AIDS. Celebrity judges will be in attendance and charged with crowning the best of the night’s delicacies. Past World of Chocolate creations have included a Swiss-themed chalet serving chocolate macaroons, an Aztec-themed chocolate pyramid, a 20-foot chocolate tower and a Willy Wonka-style chocolate river. Guests will also enjoy a light buffet, specialty cocktails, a raffle with lavish prizes and music. World AIDS Day (www.worldaidsday.org) is a worldwide effort to increase public awareness and encourage support and programming to prevent the spread of HIV infection. December 1 has been observed as World AIDS Day since 1988, when an international summit of health leaders called for a greater exchange of information on HIV/AIDS in every country around the globe.
