Each Thursday night through August 30 (no concert on August 9) at Millennium Park's Jay Pritzker Pavilion is Made in Chicago: World Class Jazz with performances from Makaya McCraven, Matt Ulery and Frank Rosaly, culminating in a tribute to Ella Fitzgerald which also opens the 34th Chicago Jazz Festival. This year, the festival presents Neighborhood Nights which are bringing jazz programming to a neighborhood near you and it continues in August at Szold Hall in the Old Town School of Folk Music and the National Museum of Mexican Art. And remember the festival is August 30-Sept 2 and in addition to Millennium Park where you can see Roy Haynes on Friday night, the festival is at the Chicago Cultural Center, Roosevelt University and Grant Park where you can enjoy Artist in Residence, Ken Vandermark and headliners Dianne Reeves and Allen Toussaint.
