Legend of the Sun

Legend of the Sun, a unique, large-scale dance drama based on a centuries-old Chinese folk tale, makes its U.S. debut with two performances by the Nanning Art Theatre presented by the China Performing Arts Agency, in association with Chicago Human Rhythm Project. At once exotic, beautiful, and joyously uplifting, this inspired work features an ensemble of more than 60 dancers and showcases the songs, dances and traditions of China’s Zhuang ethnic minority, while incorporating elements of Western modern dance and music.
