Harmony Hope and Healing Ensemble will join the choir of St. Mark's as we praise God and celebrate the life and legacy of Absalom Jones and Richard Allen on Sunday, February 12 at 10:30 a.m.. If you would like to sing with the combined choirs, you are welcome to join in rehearsals on Thursday, Feb. 2 and Thursday, Feb. 9 from 7:30 - 9 p.m. at St. Mark's, 1509 Ridge Avenue (corner of Ridge & Grove, near the Davis St. CTA/METRA), Evanston. Everyone is Welcome! Harmony, Hope & Healing is a creative and therapeutic music program under the direction of Marge Nykaza which offers dignity and spiritual healing to homeless and underserved women, men and children in the Chicago area. Founded in 2000, and incorporated as a non-profit organization in 2003, Harmony Hope and Healing collaborates with social service agencies and community-based organizations in Englewood, New City, Woodlawn and the West Loop. St. Mark’s Episcopal Church is a progressive congregation in the heart of Evanston (at the corner of Ridge and Grove). St. Mark's believes that the spirit of God lives in every human being, and that we are called to glorify that which unites us while at the same time celebrating the awesome diversity of God’s creations.
