Troy has just returned from Barcelona to his hometown of Los Angeles to be where his heart is – unfortunately, his heart still resides with former lover Jonathan, who is about to move in with his sumptuous bartender boyfriend, Raoul. Jilted by Troy, Jonathan is conflicted by Troy’s sudden reappearance in his life, and unsure about his intentions, but Raoul seems to understand right away what Troy wants. Soon, temptation takes over and Troy and Jonathan rekindle their old flame in a torrid love affair that lasts throughout the summer. But as the month of August draws to a close, choices must be made and someone’s heart is sure to be broken.
