This is What Love in Action Looks Like

Filmmaker Morgan Jon Fox (Blue Citrus Hearts, OMG/HaHaHa) documents the story of Zach, a 16-year-old boy from Memphis, TN, who, in 2005, wrote on his MySpace blog that he told his parents he was gay. Within days, his mother and father sent him to “Love In Action,” a fundamentalist Christian program that pledges to turn gay teens straight. Zach shared his feelings while at camp on his blog, and in a remarkably short time, his story spread from his friends to the local community, gained national attention, and sparked protests outside the organization's doors. Fox not only documents the growing controversy around Zach’s story; he also takes up his cause, expanding his role from documentarian to activist.
