The 49-year-old actress and gay-rights advocate recently purchased a three-story, 6000-square-foot home in the Lakeview neighborhood. The $2.5 million home was built in 2007 and has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms.
A New York native, O'Donnell had previously indicated she'd commute to Chicago for the show's tapings; however, O'Donnell now calls her move to Chicago "a new beginning."

She has a new girlfriend, Michelle Rounds, who she meet at Starbucks. Rounds was with O'Donnell at Sidetrack, 3349 N. Halsted, when ChicagoPride.com photographer Anthony Meade caught up with the couple. Rounds says she is in the process of moving to Chicago.
O'Donnell's 14-year-old daughters lives and attends school in Chicago. Her oldest son is at military school. She continues to share custody of her two youngest children, who visit from New York.
The 'Queen of Nice' also has reportedly been spotted around town testing comedy bits at Zanies, taking her children to Rainforest Cafe and playing trivia at Cullen's bar and restaurant on Southport.
"The Rosie Show" premieres Monday evening at 6 p.m. (Central) on OWN. Russell Brand will be the first guest on her show, which begins nearly a decade after she left her successful syndicated daytime show to care for her four children.
In an effort to boost the exposure, the show will also air Monday on TLC (in HD), Investigation Discovery, Discovery Fit & Health and Planet Green.
