One of the nation's oldest and largest LGBTQ celebrations, the Chicago Pride Parade will take place on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021.

The beats are back. The boys, too. Heck, Hydrate Nightclub is now back operating as if it was, oh, January or February 2020.

 

Equality Illinois—the largest LGBTQ lobby group in Illinois—has hired attorney Mony Ruiz-Velasco as its first deputy director.

Teachers at Pendleton Heights High School in the Indianapolis-area community of Pendleton were ordered by their school district to remove Pride flags displayed in their classrooms.

In a state whose Republican legislature has been striking down almost every policy proposal by Democratic Gov. Tony Evers and legislating conservative bullet points, thirteen municipalities have taken one LGBT issue into its own hands.

Matthew Ashton, design executive at LEGO, introduced the world to a special edition set called 'Everyone is Awesome.' It will be launched on June 1—the first day of Pride month. It retails for $34.99.

 

It is one thing for corporate America to pander to LGBT persons during Pride month to boost sales. It is another when some of those sales go to actual LGBT causes.
