The 37th annual Proud to Run 10k run and 5k run/walk returns Saturday, June 23 at Montrose Harbor, 600 W. Montrose Harbor Dr. The 10K begins at 8:04 a.m., and the 5K run/walk begins at 8:24 a.m. The event benefits Care2Prevent, Illinois Safe School Alliance, Pediatric AIDS Chicago Prevention Initiative, and Test Positive Aware Network.
The 3rd annual Navy Pier Pride, a family-friendly event and the largest Pride celebration outside of Lakeview, is on Saturday, June 23 from noon - 8 p.m. The free event offers a full day of Pride activities along Chicago’s lakefront and is open to the public.
The 22nd annual Chicago Dyke March, described as more inclusive, more social justice-oriented than Chicago's annual parade, will kick off at Little Village Elementary, 2620 S. Lawndale Ave. at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, ending at 4247 W. 31st Street, Piotrowski Park.
The 49th annual Chicago Pride Parade, coordinated by PRIDEChicago, is Sunday, June 24. The parade steps-off at noon from the corder of Broadway and Montrose - rain or shine. The parade is the culmination of a full month of activities known as June Pride Month in Chicago.
