Pressures from Alderman Proco "Joe" Moreno have resulted in an internal company declaration by Chick-fil-A that they will no longer fund anti-gay organizations, according to a press release from The Civil Rights Agenda (TCRA) just before midnight on Tuesday.

Conservative former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee has issued a statement on his website denying that Chick-fil-A has changed their position on funding anti-gay marriage groups.

Paris Hilton has been caught on tape making homophobic and derogatory statements about gay men who have random sex with strangers even stating "most of them probably have AIDS."

Many of the participants in the 11th annual AIDS Run and Walk Chicago have had their lives touched by the HIV/AIDS epidemic and others face it each day. Both can be said for Lisa M. Williams, an HIV Advance Practice Nurse at Northwestern Memorial Hospital who, for the past decade, has walked to honor the memories of her brother John and cousin Tim, both of whom died of complications due to the disease.

A long summer of protests and counter-protests were capped off this week with the news that the Atlanta, Ga.-based fast food chain Chick-fil-A had agreed that it would no longer contribute to anti-LGBT causes through its WinShape Foundation. The company also said that it would distribute an internal memo that would emphasize that all employees were to be treated equally, regardless of many criteria, among them sexual orientation.

Windy City Times, ranked as part of citywide news websites by Community Media Workshop in their 2012 survey, placed No. 13 in a category that included mainstream newspaper, television and radio websites. The report also divided media into various categories such as neighborhood, specialty, aggregators and arts and culture, but Windy City Times was treated as a citywide website.

A year after the military ended its ban on openly gay troops, the fears of opponents have proved largely unfounded.

"Modern Family" star Jesse Tyler Ferguson announced his engagement to longtime boyfriend Justin Mikita during a YouTube video for Tie The Knot, the couple's new bow tie line to benefit marriage equality.

On Friday, Sept. 21 Positively Aware magazine, published by the Test Positive Aware Network (TPAN), asks people to "take their best shot against HIV" as part of their "A Day with HIV" campaign.
