Chicago Filmmakers, Dyke Delicious Series continue with 2019 screenings

Chicago, IL - Since 1973, Chicago Filmmakers, a not-for-profit media arts organization, has fostered the creation, appreciation, and understanding of film and video as media for artistic and personal expression, as well as media of important social and community impact. The organization develops diverse audiences through its year-round weekly film and video exhibition programs and its two annual film festivals, Reeling the Chicago LGBTQ International Film Festival and The Onion City Experimental Film and Video Festival.

Dunye's second feature is the story of Treasure Lee (Yolanda Ross), a young African American woman who has moved out of "juvenile" prison to the State Pen in search of Brownie (Davenia Mc Fadden) the mother she never knew.
