Chicago, IL - Reality show winners, bestselling authors and farmers Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge arrive in Chicago this weekend to promote and sign their new cookbook.

The signing will take place 4 p.m. on Saturday June 7th at Williams Sonoma, 1550 N Fremont Street. Additional details are on the facebook page for the event.

The Beekman 1802 Heirloom Vegetable Cookbook contains simple, delicious, and seasonal vegetable-forward recipes.

"Our favorite recipe - at the moment - is the bloody mary soup," Ridge told ChicagoPride.com. "People love the idea and it is really delicious."

Attendees can expect to sample and taste the recipes as they interact with the authors. "We love meeting people," says Ridge. "And if a selfie is what you want, a selfie is what you'll get!"

The two also praised the city for it's star studded dining options.

"Chicago has such a great culinary scene. We love the Girl and the Goat and the new Spritzburger, and we are absolutely, positively certain that we would love Alinea should someone want to take us there!"

Kilmer-Purcell and Ridge purchased the historic Beekman 1802 farm in Sharon Springs, NY seven years ago. Since then, they have created one of the fastest growing lifestyle brands in the country, sharing their experiences through a TV show (Fabulous Beekman Boys), an online mercantile, a bestselling cookbook and memoir, and tourism destination.

And along the way, they raced around the world and won the grand prize in CBS's reality show "The Amazing Race."

Ridge and Kilmer-Purcell encourage Chicagoans to make a visit to their historic farm.

"The Harvest Festival is September 20 and 21. Last year we had 12,000 people from 22 states and 3 continents which is amazing considering our village is only 547 people," says Ridge.

"We'd love to see some Chicago folks there to help us celebrate this year's harvest."
