Los Gatos, CA - In time for Pride Month, Netflix just put together the sampling Pride Guide online. This guide serves as a highlight to further showcase some well-known LGBT films that are currently streaming on the site.

Netflix publicist Michael Kutach helped create this guide last year and had these list of titles available so he was familiar with what to add and update with the list this year.

"We put together the Pride Guide last year and was well received," Kutach said. "Overall I think it is fun guide to complement the pride season and also showcases all of the great LGBT films on the site."

The guide features different films and television series under categories such as; drag shows, love stories, gay best friends, girls being boys and LGBT heroes.

The list is written in a humorous style, in order to enthuse and excite subscribers and non-subscribers with content streaming on the site.

There is currently a Gay & Lesbian section currently under the Netflix Watch Instantly tab at the top of the homepage that pulls together a list of new films that relate to the LGBT community such as "Christopher and His Kind," "Blue is the Warmest Color," "Beyond the Walls," and "C.O.G."

This list is also supposed to give watchers a sense of what the LGBT community represents films and television and help them celebrate their month in pride.

"I feel like a lot of people in the community don't realize the extensive library Netflix has to offer," Kutach said. "A lot of these films sometimes don't make it to theaters in certain areas or make the big screen at all, so it's nice to know they can find a home on Netflix."
