“Fresh local goods,” Edgewater Monday Market promises for each Monday afternoon from 3 to 7 p.m., June 7 to 28.

“The market will provide the finest quality meats, fruits and vegetables, fresh pastries, and a tasty selection of prepared foods at the Broadway Armory parking lot, 5917 N. Broadway.

The Edgewater Chamber of Commerce says the new market will feature 16 local vendors and hopes to appeal to “a commuter audience on their way home from work or as they make their way to the beach.”

They also want neighborhood residents to round out their normal grocery shopping by patronizing local businesses.

“Bringing the market back is an exciting moment in the community's reopening, as we begin to slowly emerge from the shadow of COVID-19 but it is also being done in a safe and secure way,” the Chamber says. “Vendors' tables will be properly spaced, and queues will be clearly designated. All COVID-19 safety precautions will be closely monitored and followed by all at this event.”
