Crobar's Anthem Sunday Continues Tonight

Chicago, IL - The popularity of Crobar Chicago proved to be a problem early Sunday morning when the club became overcrowded.

Chicago Fire Department inspectors closed the club, located on North Kingsbury Street, 2 hours early around 3 a.m.

The maximum capacity of the space is 800. Officials originally over-estimated the crowd had grown to around 1,400; yet, an official count indicated the club was about 50 people over capacity.

Crobar, which closed for almost a year, re-opened on October 24th. The rebirth of Crobar was one of the most widely anticipated club events in years.

Anthem Sunday, Crobar's gay Sunday night party, remained unaffected by the early closing on Sunday Morning.
