Nothing says a hidden gem more than a supper club called Untitled, where even the front door can be tricky to find being all in black.

Located at 111 W. Kinzie Street is a place that harkens back to the secret hideouts of the past. Your eyes may need to adust to the dark room as you walk down a long staircas to the host stand.

Turn to your left to find a breathtaking wall of liquor to try and cozy private booths around the room.

There is a speakeasy feel to everything and one must try out the large cocktail menu. Recently the hot spot hosted a massive whiskey tasting that is still burned into my mind and throat.

The classic Manhattan is not to be missed with Jim Beam 90 proof rye, byrhh, PX sherry, and orange bitters.

Moving into the food menu must begin with the lamb and pork meatballs with blue cheese polenta.

The deviled eggs with a beet marinade are a crowd pleaser and the oysters are some of the best in the city with a vanilla cocktail sauce.

This talented chef knows his seafood and there is one hit after another in that department. The rainbow trout is perfectly fresh. The seared scallops are unforgettable and gulf shrimp keeps it's head on to seal in the flavor.

For dessert the flourless chocolate cake combines peanut butter and salted caramel ice cream to a proper finish.

When things heat up this summer head down to Untitled to cool off in a hip atmosphere. Keep your eyes on the website for special events such as a regular burlesque show and live jazz.
