2009 National LGBTI Health Summit
The 2009 National LGBTI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex) Health Summit will focus on “Health Through the Life Course” and will be held August 14 -18, 2009 at the Chicago Hilton and Towers. Our website (www.2009lgbtihealth.org) serves as a hub for all of our communications and as needs arise, or as people have ideas for the Summit, the site will serve as the meeting place for all of us. We would like to reach a wide, diverse audience with consideration for geography, race, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, physical, intellectual, and hearing ability, spirituality, interests, talents, perspectives, and professional/personal backgrounds. We are dedicated to preserving and improving the emotional, physical, spiritual, intellectual, psychological, environmental, and social, and sexual health and wellness of LGBTI people. We consist of a diverse range of communities who often experience significant health disparities because of our sexual orientations and/or gender identities. LGBTI health care addresses the needs of the whole person – physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and sexual. LGBTI concerns are on the front burner for Chicago’s LGBTI communities, in alliance with other communities and allies across the nation. We are all working to become increasingly active citizens in reforming the delivery of healthcare for all. Hotel registration information is available. Special conference room rates are available until July 20, 2009. Rates will increase after this date! Register for the conference online at www.2009lgbtihealth.org We look forward to hearing from you and working together to make this year’s Summit an exciting experience!
