Q. Allan Brocka, the creative force behind the popular and mega hot EATING OUT film series is back at Reeling with the long awaited sequel to another gay audience favorite, Brocka’s 2006 BOY CULTURE. Taking the form of a web series edited to feature length, BOY CULTURE: THE SERIES picks up ten years after the romantic drama of the original. Derek Magyar returns as “X” who’s broken up with Andrew (Darryl Stephens, NOAH’S ARC). The two are once again roommates with too much chemistry and X is once again an escort for hire. But in 2021, he’s up against a younger generation who has gained a competitive edge in the digital age. The grumpily insecure X is unwillingly taken under the wing of Chayce (Jason Caceres), a barely-legal sex worker who becomes his de facto pimp. As X keeps his aging body fit, and his unusual roster of kinky clients happy, he’s also dealing with the realities of still living with Andrew, who’s aiming to move on from their former romantic entanglements.
Available to stream in the U.S. only.
