Buffalo Grove Inaugural Pride Parade and Festival
Buffalo Grove's first annual family-friendly Pride Parade steps off at 10 a.m. and will feature more than 80 organizations with floats, walkers, trolleys, entertainment, music, balloons and more rainbows, acceptance and love than your heart can handle. Everyone is welcome. The parade begins at Carry Lane and ends at Ridgefield Lane and attendees are encouraged to line Checker Drive in their best rainbow gear. The parade is coordinated by Pinta Pride Project, an organization formed by Molly Pinta, a 12-year-old LGBTQ youth. The Buffalo Grove Park District's festival (http://bgparks.org/event/summer/uniquelyus.aspx), Uniquely Us: A Celebration of Community, will follow from noon to late afternoon at Mike Ryalko Park. The festival will feature Drag Entertainment, Cat Fight, community entertainment, a DJ, food trucks, a beer and wine tent, vendors and so much more!
