United Airlines presents The 2018 Equality Illinois Gala, annually the Midwest's largest LGBTQ formal celebration including a silent auction, open bar, gourmet dinner, award presentations, and dancing till midnight, on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Hilton Chicago Hotel. More than 1,000 attendees, including more than 100 political figures and community VIP's, will celebrate the accomplishments that advanced LGBTQ civil rights over the last year and hear about Equality Illinois' mission in 2018 and beyond to create a more welcoming and inclusive state for #LGBTQ Illinoisans and our families. Transgender youth activist Jazz Jennings will be honored at the 2018 Equality Illinois Gala as the first recipient of the Spotlight Award. The 2018 Freedom Award will be presented at the gala to Jim Bennett of Lambda Legal, and the 2018 Business Leadership Award will be presented to Planned Parenthood of Illinois.
