How close is too close? Are there things that a mother and son shouldn’t share? MILFs and Millennials everywhere might just get the answers they’ve been seeking in writer-director Mike Roma’s charming slice-of-life comedy feature debut. Danny (Patrick Reilly), is a gay, aimless 23-year-old recent college graduate with screenplay aspirations, living back home with his widowed mother Joan (Kathryn Erbe, LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT). Joan and Danny are closer than close and spend their time practicing yoga, watching old movies, and power walking. On his own, Danny trolls dating sites for potential hookups while fantasizing about his fellow pot-smoking friend, the hunky Khris (Michael Rosen) who’s straight. Mom and son’s off-center domestic bliss takes a turn when Joan, with the help of her insightful friend Lisa (Kathy Najimy, HOCUS POCUS, SISTER ACT, BEAR CITY 3), wades back into the dating pool. The sweet natured Joan immediately strikes gold with Chester (James Le Gros, CERTAIN WOMEN, DRUGSTORE COWBOY, SAFE), a warm teddy bear who quickly wins her heart. But Danny is proving to be a major stumbling block to her happiness when he can’t find a Mr. Right of his own. Director/writer Mike Roma expected in attendance!
