CHF: Margo Jefferson: Negroland

Saturday, November 12, 2016, 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM  |  view details and directions

Margo Jefferson took a bold and unusual approach in her book Negroland: A Memoir. A moving recounting of what it was like to grow up among Chicago’s black elite in the 1950s and 60s, Jefferson brings to bear her own memories as well as her capacities as a Pulitzer Prize-winning cultural critic. The winner of this year's Chicago Tribune Heartland Award for Non-Fiction, Jefferson returns to CHF to discuss the art of literary non-fiction.
