Returning as a two day festival once again, this annual pride event attracts thousands of revelers to Boystown the weekend before Chicago's iconic annual Pride Parade (which this year takes place on Sunday, June 29). Highlights include non-stop entertainment for gay/lesbian Chicagoans as well as for out-of-town visitors. Pride Fest features music top dance and pop/rock music acts on two stages, food and drink and more than 60 vendors offering arts, crafts and unique merchandise tailored to the gay community. Suggested $10 gate donation. The festival is hosted by the Northalsted Business Alliance, which also sponsors the world-famous Northalsted Market Days in August. Entertainment Oscar-winning actress and Grammy-winning singer Jennifer Hudson will perform on Saturday, June 21 at 2:40 p.m. "Chicago is home," Hudson told ChicagoPride.com.
