Skokie Art Walk

The Skokie Art Walk will showcase the works of talented professional and student artists in restaurants and businesses in downtown Skokie during the entire month of May, 2013. While visitors are invited to tour downtown Skokie to view the art on display anytime throughout the month, the live activities will be held May 18. Visitors are invited to pick up an Art Walk map at any participating business, meet the artists at their display locations, attend the artists’ reception, listen to roaming musicians, and watch plein air artists paint live outdoors near the gazebo in the Memorial Park at Krier Plaza (corner of Oakton and Lincoln). Also, from noon – 2pm, children (ages 3 – 16) are invited to make their own art at “make and take” workshops at Bughouse Studio (4845 Oakton) and at Lincoln Terrace Art Studio & Gallery (5027 Warren St.). Fun for all ages and free.
