DESCRIPTION:Chicago filmmaker and author Dan Dinello is retiring after 33 years of teaching in the Film and Video department of Columbia College Chicago.  Dan is celebrating his retirement with a retrospective screening of several award-winning shorts and clips. Extending from the disco/punk era to the present, this compilation features Stephen Colbert, Paul Dinello, Amy Sedaris, Barack Obama, and African musical legend Fela Kuti among others.
 
 The compilation includes excerpts from Shock Asylum (Sundance Festival, NY Underground Film Festival Award), Wheels of Fury (Chicago Underground Festival Winner), Rock Lobster (Ann Arbor Festival Winner), Really Dead (Illinois Film Festival Award), and the Comedy Central TV Series Strangers With Candy.
 
  The filmmaker will be present and a reception will follow the screening.
