Replay opens in Boystown

Replay, a craft beer and bourbon bar meets retro arcade, held its pre-opening party Wednesday night. The new Boystown destination features 24 craft beers on tap, an Elixir inspired cocktail menu and vintage arcade games. Owner Mark Liberson announced his plans for the former Bucks Saloon at 3439 N. Center on Halsted's Human First Gala, welcomed dignitaries, activists, and other community leaders to a special cocktail reception and awards dinner, which paid homage to those that have dedicated their life to change and equality for fellow LGBT members. The gala ended in celebration as Chicago native and Grammy award winning artist Chaka Khan closed out the night with a special performance of several of her famous award winning songs. Bottom line, the Human First Gala raised over $500,00 with over 800 attendees. (Read more) Photos by Waddie Grant
Interfaith House Gala

Interfaith House held their annual Gala on May 16th at 6pm, at the Germania Club. Interfaith House provides residential care for homeless men and women in medical recovery. This 64-bed center on Chicago’s West Side, offers interim housing and support to ill and injured homeless adults who would otherwise lack a stable and safe place to heal. Photos by Eamonn Sexton

Sidetrack hosted the first ever "Men of Fred" Casting Party and Fundraiser this past Saturday, an event aimed at celebrating the work of local nonprofit Fred Says, raising awareness around the lives of HIV+ teens and casting 12 men for the organization's first annual calendar. The Legacy Project luncheon at the Palmer House Hilton offered a first look at the 2013 candidates for induction to the Legacy Walk along North Halsted Street in Lakeview. Aaron Jackson, the straight ally who purchased the house across from Westboro Baptist Church and painted it the colors of the gay rainbow flag, served as the keynote speaker. Sean Lewis of WGN-TV hosted the annual event. ChicagoPride.com was a proud media sponsor.
