I obviously have some very specific physical turn-ons (a lean torso, deep-set eyes, pouty lips, refined jaw-line, sideburns, youthful features) but have found that the more I get to know someone the more I am attracted to other qualities like a vivacity for life and a concern for others and a genuineness of spirit. These are things that I try to develop in myself and wish for in a companion.

Turn-offs:
I'm not into really long hair, big beards, too many tatoos, bald heads, or leather. I'm not into older looking men, maybe because i still feel young myself that dating men who remind me of my dad isn't where I'm at quite yet (although these days my dad looks more like my grandfather). I'm not into really big/muscular guys since I have a smaller build myself. Also, I'm not at all into inconsiderate, wealth-obsessed, self-concerned individuals... maybe for my lawyer but not for my lover.
More about me:
My great loves are playing music, playing sports, and playing hooky from work (cause it lets me catch up on movies and my reading). I also love to bicycle and hike and since moving to Chicago I've started what I call 'urban hiking' where I start downtown and see how far I can get in a given direction before my legs give out.
I work downtown with a non-profit and am organizing a conference on social justice for 2011. Oh, and I'm also working on a project where I take a photo everyday for a year. There will be a website and original songs to go with some of the days.
I'm really laid back yet very concerned for the world. I've grown more involved in politics and social movements in the past few years as I've seen how the ways I've been diminished by others in my life are connected to the ways other minority groups are disenfranchised. Basically, I just think we need to care... and not just for our own group.
