'Pregnant man' Thomas Beatie separates from wife
HAWAII -- World-famous transgender man Thomas Beatie, who made headlines when he became pregnant five years ago, has now separated from his wife.
"Like all marriages, we have our ups and downs, and we're going through a rough patch right now," Beatie said during a taping of the show "The Doctors." "At the moment, we're separated."
Beatie and his wife Nancy have three children, daughter Susan and sons Austin and Jensen. He carried them all after undergoing artificial insemination, since Nancy could not bear children.
Beatie also told "The Doctors" that his physical transformation into a man was complete, with his phalloplasty finished.
The episode will air on May 7.
