Il Lottery "Spread the Word" game to support HIV/AIDS causes

This week the Illinois Lottery, in partnership with the Illinois Department of Public Health and a host of Illinois-based HIV/AIDS advocates, launched Spread the Word – a lottery game where 100 percent of net proceeds are used for HIV/AIDS education, prevention and support programs that serve Illinoisans living with HIV/AIDS.
CDPH: Meningococcal disease case reported in Chicago

The Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) has reported a single case of meningococcal disease in a man, known to be a gay resident of Chicago, similar to those reported among gay and bisexual men in Los Angeles and New York earlier this year.
HBHC's Broadway Youth Center to move

Howard Brown Health Center (HBHC) announced on May 22 that several programs and services provided by the Broadway Youth Center (BYC) will begin transitioning from Broadway United Methodist Church (BUMC) to Wellington Avenue United Church of Christ (WAUCC) located at 615 W. Wellington Ave. beginning Monday, June 3 at 12 p.m.

‘Men of Fred' calendar casting party raising awareness and funds

This Saturday, May 11, the popular Boystown video bar Sidetrack will host the first ever "Men of Fred" Casting Party and Fundraiser, an event aimed at celebrating the work of local nonprofit Fred Says, raising awareness around the lives of HIV+ teens and casting 12 men for the organization's first annual calendar.
