Chicago, IL — Hyatt Regency in Chicago has partnered with the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) to promote Hyatt and Hyatt Regency Chicago as a welcoming company and hotel for all employees with an inclusive environment, which values and respects others regardless of gender identity.

Today kicks off the announcement of the local Hyatt hotel's involvement in HyPride, a global employee network group for members and supporters of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.

Chicago is one of seven cities that has groups of LGBT associates and supporters who will volunteer at Pride events around the country this month.

Travelers visiting the Windy City can also celebrate Pride month with a special discount package at Hyatt Regency Chicago through July 20. Travelers can click here to receive 15 percent off room rates and 50 percent off daily parking. Full terms and conditions of the promotion are available on the website and the offer is subject to availability.

In addition, Hyatt Regency Chicago today announced the launch of its Passport Pride Sweepstakes, a Facebook-hosted sweepstakes in celebration of LGBT Pride month.

From June 22 through July 20, 2012, fans can visit and "like" the Hyatt Regency Chicago Facebook page at http://facebook.com/hyattchicago and enter information for a chance to win a two-night stay in a junior suite, breakfast for two in the atrium restaurant, The Bistro At 151, and complimentary parking and wi-fi daily.

Hyatt was recently named one of the "Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality" for its eighth consecutive year as a result of the 100 percent rating it earned on the 2012 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), an annual survey administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, which is America's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization.
