New York City — Neil Patrick Harris will return to host this year's Tony Awards, June 10, at the Beacon Theatre in New York.  This will be his third run as host for the theatre awards show.

The 38-year-old "How I Met Your Mother" star tweeted the news on Monday after it was announced by the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. 

Harris hosted in 2009 and 2011 and received rave reviews.

This year's Tony Awards will be broadcast on CBS.
