Cocktail bar to reopen Friday in Boystown

Chicago, IL — Cocktail is expected to reopen Friday evening according to Jacob Meister, the attorney who represents Cocktail co-owners Dustin Hoffman and Geno Zaharakis.

    The popular Boystown bar was closed Nov. 28 after a temporary revocation of its liquor license due to a failure to pay taxes owed from an audit last year.

    The closing was expected to be only temporary and the bar was to have reopened sooner. 

    Cocktail, which Zaharakis opened in 1996, was closed for three days in September after facing similar circumstances. 

    Meister says Cocktail will open at 8 p.m.
