London — Gay marriage supporters have put together a gigantic wedding card, which they are bringing to Buckingham Palace today and offering to Prince William and his bride-to-be, Kate Middleton.

The card reads: "Congratulations William and Kate on your Wedding Day. We wish you a happy life together. You can get married, gay people can't. We are banned by law. We ask you to support marriage equality. Equal=Love."

"The royal couple are lucky: they have the option to get married," organizer Peter Tachtell told the Independent. "Gay couples don't have this option. They are barred by law from marriage."

Eight couples who have asked the European Court of Human Rights to end the ban on same-sex civil unions in the UK will also attend the protest.

A facts that is not talked of much. It does not matter what a government, be it state or federal or declared by a king, writes on paper and then calls it law. A marriage is a union between a man and a woman. That is what a marriage is, period. I cannot think of any other case where a government tried to change our language by making a law. I agree that everyone is entitled to the same rights. We all have the right to get married, also we all have the right to be deviant in our sexual proclivities. However it is not possible to do one and call it the other. Get over it and move on with your life.
From the comment below. You really do not make much sense at all. I am 100% confused. You said, “A marriage is a union between a man and a woman” then you said. “We all have the right to get married.” Well if we all have the right to get married then how can you say a marriage is a union between a man and a woman. Also who told you the definition of a Marriage? Because my definition is much different then yours.

Marriage: Is a social union or legal contract between people that creates kinship. It is an institution in which interpersonal relationships, usually intimate and sexual, are acknowledged in a variety of ways, depending on the culture or subculture in which it is found. Such a union, often formalized via a wedding ceremony, may also be called matrimony
