I am a nice looking, very together 39 year old professional guy with excellent sense of style. I also enjoy theatre, great trendy restaurants, museums, art galleries, art films and traveling. I am not into the bar/club scene and I do not smoke or do drugs. I have a great and sometimes sick or sarcastic sense of humor (You should have one as well) although I don’t think humor at someone else’s expense is funny. I believe laughter is the best medicine and gets me through everyday. Although I’m serious and focused when necessary, I try not to take life or myself too seriously. In other words…I don’t sweat the small stuff and I understand and accept circumstances that are completely out of my control. I am very much into physical fitness, however, I am not obsessed with it. I play tennis regularly, do yoga, lift weights (trying to get bigger but it’s taking forever, any suggestions ?), bike ride and run. (I’m training for the Aids Marathon in October). My family is very important to me, I am very lucky to have a family in which I am fully accepted for who I am, in which there is always complete honesty. I also have a niece who means more to me than anyone in the world and a nephew on the way. Every time I go home all I ever hear from these people is..”don’t you have someone special you want to bring with you?”
My friends constantly ask me why I’m still single? I wish I knew, One of the reasons I believe is that I’m not willing to settle. I know there are plenty of single, smart, sexy, well adjusted men out there who are interested in a relationship as well. I just haven’t met them yet. I remain optimistic and understand that “it” will happen when it’s meant to happen. I also understand that at almost 40 years of age (gasp!) we all come with some baggage. I am constantly working on growing as an individual and you should be as well. I like to think of my life as a work in progress that won’t be complete until the day I die.
My favorite quote is:My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive, and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor and some style. “Maya Angelou”
