Assoc. Director of Development, Center on Halsted
Craig is Associate Director of Development at Center on Halsted, which basically means he keeps membership and fundraising running smoothly. Born a Hoosier who studied biology at Indiana University, he moved to Chicago in September 2001 to study for his Masters of Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago. Today he lives in Uptown with his partner of 15 years, whom he met in college marching band, and their Sheltie, Lily (short for Lilith, Bebe Neuwirth's unemotional monotone character on Cheers). Craig has a passion for the Center's good work after having worked in the fields of both domestic violence and child welfare. One of his greatest accomplishments he feels was working with convicted perpetrators of domestic violence, challenging their beliefs about gender roles and use of power and control. Today he thoroughly enjoys connecting donors with Center on Halsted to make a lasting change in the LGBT community.
