FINALLY home after a two+ year service in Peace Corps, Ukraine...savin' the world one Uke at a time, or something like that. Joining Peace Corps has definitely been one of the best life-changing experiences I've ever embarked upon. I learned more about myself than I ever thought I would have, I lived in an amazing culture, learned how to swear in two fantastic languages (Ukrainian and Russian), and gained some pretty great experience along the way. I can now bathe, cook, flush my toilet, and do my laundry with a mere three liters of water...who knew? I'll admit, I missed moisturizer, hot water (sometimes ANY running water), washers and dryers (I sustained MANY laundry-related injuries along the way), supermarkets, spicy food, and Doritos (Lord, did I miss Doritos), but I learned to live without a lot of things and figured out the true difference between wants and needs. I'm a life-loving, down to earth guy who walks through life with a perma-grin and a slight 'tude. I'm entirely too sarcastic and have an immense sense of humor--which basically boils down to me being a part- time smart ass. I'm an information sponge - learning drives me- whether it's learning about cultural diversity through travel (travelled extensively through Ireland, UK, Ukraine, Poland, Ukraine, Mongolia, China, and Russia), or studying linguistics through an academic book, I'm intrigued.
