I've been several times since their reopening as a gay/les bar. The Friday live Latin Band Night is awesome. Saturday nights leave a little to be desired. I posted a comment on their FB page, and received an email from the DJ (on that evening) who pretty much told me to stay home. I will do just that. However the bartenders are cute, friendly. Mainly couples (which isnt a horrible thing), but a friendly atmosphere, just if you want to dance, you may have to request songs.

Just went here for the first time. Feb 2010. They re-opened about 6 weeks ago and it is back to being a gay/Lesbian bar. Very fun. Great place for 35+ Lesbians. I saw several in the 40-50's age range. Not filled with a bunch of young 20 somethings which was great if you are a bit older than the 20's crowd. I will definitely go back again soon. I went on a Saturday night and it was 95% women. Very cool place!

In all fairness to Temptations you have to go at least 3 times before you can make a judgement call. Some days are slower than others and different types of crowds are suited for different types of ladies. I like Wednesdays. It's more my speed, not so crowded and better chances to get to know someone. Like the grogeous lady I met at the end of the bar. Really, really cute. Once you've gone a few times many of the ladies start to recognize you and are more inviting.

Temptations is a great atmosphere with pool tables, table hockey and great lighting! I enjoyed myself and the bartenders are cool. .. too bad it closes so early!

I love everything about this place. I tried going to 'The Closet' on Broadway and the smoke alone made me want to gag. Temptations has a mixture of music and people. Evryone is very friendly and warm. The service is excellent and the prices aren't too bad either. I especially like it because it is my coming out bar.

Hi I visited your club on Halloween and it was so nice to see everyone just having a ball.....my girl went dressed as Elvis Presley and I was the maid. I was hoping that your site had pics on that night! I loved your club and if I return to Chgo I will visit again. Ciao Gladis

Ive been to clubs in the downtown area and then Ive been to Temps .. since the introduction of yes a new lesbian managment . . Ive seen a many improvements .. friendly laid back atmosphere .. Hot new nights to experience .. it's great whether you're looking to be alone with your partner or meet someone new .. Cover is reasonable in comparison to other clubs and drink prices are too

I've been going there off and on for several years now (about ten) and was just there early 2005. Couldn't believe the music improvement and male waiters? Ok, what's with that? Strange, but they were VERY Friendly and Promt! Lucky is the best! Could use a few more "themed" events, the drinks could be a bit stronger, and the seating could be a bit more "cozy. " It's such a great space, has a good reputation, but I think it really needs to be updated some. The improvements to the dance floor are stellar. It's trying to get up to speed with the new century, keep up the good work.

I only been there a couple of times, but I think that it was a great club everytime I've been there. You can meet a lot of great people. The music could be better, but overall it is great! My ex girlfriend and I went there and after we left, we came home and had the best sex ever!!!

Temptations is the best. I've been going there for many years (about 12) and I've never seen fights break out. The girls really know how to carry themselves very well. The bartenders are very gay-friendly, and really know how to mix their drinks. The drinks are inexpensive, and best of all - - there's always parking available. It's nothing like going downtown, where you have to drive around for an hour to get a spot. I highly recommend this bar to anyone (GLTB or Straight). I'll have to say the same thing about the washrooms; they are for the most part very well maintained, and there's none of that "flooding" going on (as you might experience at other crowded bars in Chicago's downtown area). Terrible smoke at Temptations! I have trouble breathing each time I've been there. Also, the bar is owned by a straight guy.

Nothing like seeing good old drama at it's best. I think smoking must be a pre-requisite to being a lesbian because that place has the worst ventilation ever! My partner and I just can't stand to go there anymore. Not worth the cover to get in.

This bar was a big disappointment.The girls are all butch!Where are all the pretty girls at because they weren't here?The music sucks!This club needs alot of improvement. I had to leave and drive northeast.

I enjoy this bar best...alot of ladies on Saturday night...John is the best...bartenders are awesome. Music on the other hand I feel could be better. Great drink prices..so overall I'd recommend anyone to come out.

The largest lesbian night club in the chicago land area. Dance till you can't dance anymore. Meet new people and dance till 5 AM
