Taverna 750
When I told my parents I was gay, the news was
met with a little disbelief, confusion, and uneasiness.
Some time had passed, and stories were exchanged
throughout the family. About a year later, the entire family was seated for dinner. Mama lifted her glass, looked to the family, and then to me. She said, "Mangia Homo."
The entire family raised their glasses higher, clinked them together and repeated, "Mangia Homo."
–Paul D. Cannella, Owner
Taverna 750 is the best of old school Italian with a contemporary flair. Chicago nightlife guru, Paul D. Cannella is bringing back Grandfather Paul J. Loverde's and Uncle Chuckie Abruzzini's classic Italian recipes from his restaurant on Grand Avenue in the 40's.
These classics have all been updated with help of Chef Christopher Coker. Their spring menu features items including Tri-Tip Steak with Onion Flavors and Buttermilk Braised Pork Shoulder as well as plenty of vegetarian and vegan options.
All of the entrees are on small plates, meant for sharing at the table. All items will be less than $10, so an extremely great value.
You can now make reservations on www.taverna750.com via Open Table.
