you're welcome! i think it's nelray impossible to find good, not-totally-touristy things to do in unknown cities unless you ask someone who actually lives there.

when i go to new york again (without my loony, domineering, totally lovable family) i'm going to gather info from actual people who spend their days trying to find fun & interesting things to do there. i mean, yes, central park is great and seeing ellis island was uber-historic, and those tourist things can also be good. but i felt totally lost there without insider suggestions. my point is that i'm totally happy to help, and it was actually really fun thinking of my favorite things to do here and why i love them. i hope you have a great trip!
