This is different from prejudice, which would mean that is a "hate" driven atmosphere; this is hardly the case. Hence, it would be harder for a white guy to get mutual attention from a pre-dominantly black and latino club. Same goes if a black or latino goes into a predominantly white club - a level of uncomfortablity is definite do to the lack of "likeness". There is a thin line betweeen prejudice and unattraction. But as a faithful visitor, my point is that the Prop House is far from prejudice...
To another point of a past reviewer:
YES. It is ridiculous how much the Prop House charges for "Event Nites". As a person who visits regularly for free (VIP) and on occasion $10, I couldn't fathom paying that much as a cover to a place full of the same faces I just saw last week! It would be a different story if there's a celebrity guest, or strippers even! But I supposed that they are charging for the sheer "ambiance" of the event in honor. It does get kinda "hot" durning those nights (and I don't just mean hot like heat/warmth)LOL...
I say test the Prop for yourself. Besides all its many flaws it still flattens the competition out here on Friday nites for the "queers"... It's hot.
The White Party was a joke! Yes, it was packed and very uncomfortable being inside of the building. It drives me crazy when I go to "Black Pride" events and the cover for the club is hiked up an extra 20.00, it's ridiculous! How can you enjoy yourself during Pride weekend if everywhere is a 30.00 cover charge? Why is that only the black peeps do that shyt? Never during Chicago's Pride, which is predominantly white do you find a club that's 30.00 or 15.00 for that matter upon entry. I am over the "Black Pride" bullshit, and yes I am black. I enjoy myself with other races than my own...a damn shame!
