Focuses on five Black youths, along with their struggles and triumphs as they start their journey into adulthood. The film places at its center the voices of Black youth: their ideas, attitudes and opinions that are often overlooked in today’s society. Among the five are Carter, whom two African-American gay men adopted when he was 10, and genderqueer youth Ansheera. There will be two local screenings later this year.
