Ferron: Girl on the Road
RSVP to dykedelicious@chicagofilmmakers.org. Before the Indigo Girls and Ani DiFranco, there was Ferron, a singer/songwriter whose plaintive and poetic songs provided the soundtrack for an entire generation of lesbians. Nearing 60 and feeling the urge to reconnect with her audience, Ferron reunites with her band to perform a concert after nearly a decade away. Internationally award-winning director Gerry Rogers (My Left Breast) is there to capture the moment.

Paula Killen in Fully Loaded
A film written and produced by Killen, an important presence in Chicago's performance art scene of the 1990s. Shira Piven, of Evanston's renowned theatre family, employs a darkly comedic touch in her directorial feature film debut. Two single moms (played by Killen and Lisa Orkin) ride through night-time L.A. Talking Pictures Festival runs through March 11 celebrating the vibrant, diverse and unique stories that independent cinema has to offer.
