Reading by trans author/poet/professor Joy Ladin from her autobiography beginning in the spring of 2007, the painful story of her transition from male to female. Ladin weaves a compelling narrative of her deep connection to God and Judaism throughout a life lived across genders. She is currently a professor of English at Yeshiva University, and is the first openly transgender employee of an Orthodox Jewish institution. Books will be available for purchase.
