Urban Village Church knows that HIV/AIDS can be hard to talk about, sometimes, especially at church, for all kinds of reasons. Yet, they feel called to become ever-more-fully a church of/for people of all HIV statuses, supporting body and soul health and chipping away at walls of HIV/AIDS-related stigma in church and society.

Special Event Day. Kids come in costumes of any kind. Meet at UAR front gate. Bring noisemakers and musical instruments. 1-4 p.m. Variety Hour stage with performances by children. Jazz vocalis concludes the Katten/Landau Studio Series performing a selection of songs including “I’ll Be Seeing You,” “Straighten Up and Fly Right,” “Long Ago and Far Away,” among others, McCann’s repertoire evokes the sentiment of the World Word II era and brings her audience on a journey through time and place.

Her hour solo show, SIDE MULLET NATION, debuted as a production of TBS' Just for Laughs Chicago Festival. Tickets $13-25. Also featuring the stand up comedy of Matteo Lane.
