Where? Howard Brown Health Center
For many people, feelings of unmet expectations, loneliness and family conflicts are synonymous with the holiday season. This is especially true among LGBT people and cuts across generations--from LGBT youth kicked out of their homes, to older LGBT adults living alone and not served by traditional support networks.
At this community event, our expert panel, including Amber Hollibaugh, Chief Officer of Elder and LBTI Women's Services at Howard Brown Health Center, will identify factors that contribute to this loneliness and provide easy coping strategies and suggestions for safe places to visit for support and comfort during the holidays. Attendees are encouraged to share their own holiday experiences and methods for coping.
The event takes place at Howard Brown Health Center at 4025 N. Sheridan Road in Chicago.
