Australia's world-class singing sensation performing live!
The last 10 years have seen Shauna Jensen celebrated as Australia's leading gay house diva. Shauna has a career that spans three decades and is known in both mainstream and dance music.
She has worked closely with great Australian bands, with an impressive line-up of names. INXS, Jimmy Barnes, Powderfinger, Richard Clapton, Cold Chisel, Hugh Jackman are just a few.
She has toured widely and played major entertainment arenas in Australia and New Zealand. Shauna is also the voice behind countless television/radio/film ad campaigns, and she is one of Sydney's most demanded studio singers.
Her career has also expanded into television, primarily as a singer, but most recently on the panel of Australia's national Fox-cable series "Beauty and the Beast".
Most recently she was an on-screen show judge and resident vocal coach on Channel 7's "Popstars-Live".
Shauna has recorded tracks with many of Sydney's leading DJs. She collaborated with Paul Goodyear (resident @ ARQ-Sydney) on a re-working of Sylvester's classic "Take Me To Heaven". The track was huge in Australian clubs and later re-mixed by Wayne G (Heaven-London). The track was then widely heard internationally, and was heard in the US series Queer As Folk. Shauna has also recorded with Alex Taylor (resident DJ @ leading Sydney nightclub home). Together they re-worked the 3 Degrees song "When Will I See You Again" which featured as the closing show at the Sydney Gay Games 2002.
She continues to work with International DJ WayneG and their version of the Brittany song Every time has been widely played throughout the dance clubs of the world and has brought them more acclaim.
Shauna's performances range from niteclub appearances at super clubs such as ARQ, home, GAS, The Midnight Shift, as well as the famous Mardi Gras lead shows. She performed rousing sets at both the opening and the closing ceremonies of the Sydney 2002 Gay Games, and her blasting version of the Des'ree hit "You Gotta Be" was #1 track on the Games' celebratory CD.
Summer 2004 Shauna was booked by Heaven in London for July 3rd and for their 25th birthday celebrations in November. She was special guest performer at Rome's Gayvillage 31st July and 1st Aug.
During 2005 Shauna has been working on her new album due for release in mid 2006 and continuing her close collaboration with WayneG.
Shauna Jensen is a totally glamorous, fabulous world class diva. Anyone who has seen and heard her on stage will confirm that Shauna knows how to rock a crowd. Shauna personifies all there is about Gay Sydney. Glamorous, Camp, Fun and above all …the girl can sing!
